PSN Pass poorly timed, says analyst

Posting on Twitter, the industry expert said that the studio's strategy is poorly timed and unlikely to turn a profit.
"PSN Pass is not timed particularly well. Curious if they make any money off this; I expect not," he wrote.
Games protected by the PSN Pass system will launch with a "a single-use registration code that grants the account holder redeeming the code full online access for that title". Customers who purchase these titles second-hand will have to pay extra for online content.
"This is an important initiative as it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhancing premium online services across our first party game portfolio," Sony said of the measure.
Resistance 3 will be the first game to use the system when it launches in September.
