The video service will arrive on July 13 through a Nintendo Video app in the 3DS eShop. The Nintendo Video app will be a free download and provide streaming video content.
Videos will be region-specific, so it is unclear exactly which videos will be available in the UK at launch. However, both Sky 3D and Eurosport were announced as partners by Nintendo of Europe earlier this year.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata declared in April that a video service would arrive on the 3DS shortly after the eShop.
The Nintendo Video app already released in Japan, and is updated with new video content daily.
The Nintendo Video app will release in Europe from July 13, with no North American release date announced yet.
