Sony plans to invest the money in both first-party title development as well as its Pub Fund, which provides financial assistance to independent developers developing games exclusively for PlayStation 3.
In the past, the PlayStation Network has been host to hit exclusive games such as Joe Danger, Flower and the PixelJunk series, including Monsters and Shooter.
For its three-year plan, Sony cites upcoming titles like Eufloria, Okabu and Papo y Yo as "more unique, fun, innovative, edgy and higher quality game experiences on PSN".
Also coming to PlayStation Network is Journey from Flower developer thatgamecompany, which is currently undergoing a beta phase and will release later in 2011.
