The game will include a look at Tekken's past and future through Tekken Tag Tournament HD and two sneak peeks at Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
Tekken Tag Tournament HD was originally released for the PS2 in 2000 and now returns to the PlayStation 3 with remastered HD visuals. The game will also feature trophy support and the return of the popular Tekken Bowl minigame, while online play has been rumoured but not confirmed.
In addition to Tekken Tag Tournament HD, Tekken Hybrid will include Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue and the 3D animated feature Tekken Blood Vengeance.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue will give players an early chance to play Tekken Tag Tournament 2 using four characters from the game Alisa, Xiaoyu, Devil Kazuya and a final character yet to be revealed.
Tekken Blood Vengeance is a feature length 3D CGI animated movie taking place after the events of Tekken 5 as Ling Xiaoyu and Alisa Bosconovitch discover secrets that could destroy the Mishima family.
"There is no better collection of the Tekken experience than Tekken Hybrid, with a full-length 3D CG movie, bonus video content, plus the acclaimed classic Tekken Tag Tournament HD, which of course includes the fan favourite Tekken Bowl," said Tekken creator Katsuhiro Harada.
"Furthermore, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue includes character modelling and costume design that is not included in the arcade version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Bringing together a movie, bonus video content, a full HD remake, and a special prologue of the latest Tekken arcade title all in one disc has been challenging, but has resulted in a truly innovative and unique product in the PlayStation 3 system's history."
Tekken Hybrid will release exclusively on the PlayStation 3 this autumn.
