'King of Fighters' and 'DoDonPachi' lead Rising Star lineup

Publisher Rising Star Games has announced its fourth quarter 2011 release lineup, headlining with King of Fighters XIII and DoDonPachi Resurrection.

The King of Fighters XIII is the latest game in SNK's flagship 2D fighting series following 2009's The King of Fighters XII.

The game features more than 30 characters spanning the entire series history, as well as improved gameplay thanks to the new Neo Max super special moves. The King of Fighters XIII will arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in October.

DoDonPachi Resurrection is the fourth game in developer Cave's celebrated vertical shooter series. The game is converted directly from the Arcade, featuring the fan-favourite "bullet hell" gameplay. Three gameplay modes have been added for the Xbox 360 release and a copy of the soundtrack is included with the game. DoDonPachi Resurrection will release on Xbox 360 in November.

Rising Star Games will also publish Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar and Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon on Nintendo DS in September, and Cradle of Rome 2 on Nintendo DS in October.

Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar continues the classic farming simulation series with an added bazaar for selling goods and trading items with friends over a WiFi connection.

Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon furthers the Harvest Moon gameplay by adding RPG elements and, for the first time, an online multiplayer option.
