Speaking to Andriasang, Nomura said that development of the game has "reached high pitch", and claimed that its quality is "at the level of a console game".
Singling out the character motion for particular praise, the Kingdom Hearts director insisted that the 3DS release will feature the "flashiest motion of the series thus far".
Nomura also said that he hopes to introduce new players to the franchise as part of the series' 10th anniversary, hinting at a possible HD remake of an earlier title.
Kingdom Hearts 3D will be the seventh game in the series and follows PSP title Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, which was released last year.
The 3DS title will be playable during the Tokyo Game Show in September.
Square Enix will also be showing Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Type-0 and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy at the upcoming event.
