The Flame Red Nintendo 3DS will launch on September 9 in both North America and Europe following the system's August 12 price cut.
The new 3DS colour will also launch alongside Star Fox 64 3D, which comes out on September 9 in Europe and September 11 in the US.
"Nintendo 3DS is poised to be on fire for the holidays, with its new suggested retail price, great games and our new Flame Red colour," said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.
"With major upcoming releases in the Star Fox, Pokémon and Mario series, in addition to downloadable offerings from Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Video and Netflix, the system offers new and fun experiences to owners on a daily basis."
Nintendo recently announced that the Nintendo 3DS price will drop by a third on August 12. The price drop follows a disappointing launch, with fewer than half a million systems sold in both the US and Japan.
Following the Nintendo 3DS price cut announcement, the firm lowered its fiscal forecast by 82% and saw a 12% drop in its stock prices.
The Flame Red Nintendo 3DS arrives in both US and UK stores from September 9.
