OnLive will see its UK launch alongside the Eurogamer Expo in September.

The cloud computing service, which allows games to be streamed instantly on a variety of devices including HDTVs, PCs, Macs and iPad, will launch on September 22.

Membership will be free and the service will launch with over 100 titles playable through a subscription or by individual purchases.

OnLive will also feature instant demos of any game, live spectating, and social networking features including video sharing and notifications.

Officially launching at the Eurogamer Expo, attendees will have the chance to experience OnLive on the show floor, with thousands of devices being handed out at the event.

"OnLive will utterly transform gaming in the UK. No discs, big downloads or specialised hardware needed," said founder and CEO Steve Perlman.

"OnLive gives you the latest games instantly, anytime, anywhere on HDTV, PC, Mac, as well as iPad, Android tablets. High-performance gaming as accessible as streaming video, with unique social features such as massive spectating with voice chat and Facebook integration."

Last month, OnLive said that it was in talks with Microsoft and Sony to bring the service to consoles.

The Eurogamer Expo will run from September 22 to 25 at Earls Court in London. Early entry tickets to this year's event have already sold out.

Last year's expo saw a record 20,000 visitors, the largest event of its kind in the UK.
