The free channel, which is currently rolling out across the network, includes games by Rovio, PopCap, Zynga and Bioware.
When games are available to all users, a new 'Games' button will appear at the top of each user's Google+ stream, giving access to the games and allowing players to view game updates from the people in their circle. Game updates will remain separate from a user's circle streams, preventing the clogging of newsfeeds experienced by some Facebook users with games.
"You can see the latest game updates from your circles, browse the invites you've received and check out games that people you know have played recently," Google announced on the Google blog.
"The Games page is also where your game accomplishments will appear. So you can comfortably share your latest high score - your circles will only see the updates when they're interested in playing games too."
Google added: "If you're not interested in games, it's easy to ignore them. Your stream will remain focused on conversations with the people you care about."
Games currently available on Google+:
Developer Funzio announced that the Google+ version of Crime City will be a "standalone version," indicating that the Google+ and Facebook versions will not be compatible with one another. Developer Kabam revealed that its next game Edge World will launch simultaneously on Facebook and Google+.
Google previously invested $200 million in Zynga for the new games platform. Zynga Poker is the only game available from the developer at the launch of games on Google+.
