The game is said to be an MMO without direct interaction between players, GameSpot reports.
According to the application, the title is aimed at "Those who want to play games that are more dynamic, not based on Al and not pre-scripted like multiplayer games, however, don't want to 'deal' with other people, appreciate the privacy it provides."
Players will be able to impact on each other's in-game experiences indirectly. For example, if one player builds a structure, the other will be able to see it but not locate its architect. It was also suggested that users will be able to gossip to non-playable characters, who will pass on their messages to other players.
Nintendo confirmed that Massively Single-Playing Online Game could include traditional multiplayer support if players "friended" one another.
The patent was filed for "a home video game system such as the Nintendo Wii 3D video game system, a Nintendo DS or other 3D capable interactive computer graphics display systems."
It is unknown whether the "Nintendo Wii 3D" is the name of a genuine console or an error on the application.
