In honour of the 10th anniversary of the Halo series, Microsoft will release a title update for the game making a number of changes. The largest change will see the return of the powerful Magnum pistol from Halo: Combat Evolved to Halo: Reach.
The Magnum pistol was a fan favourite weapon in the original game for its high power and ability to zoom for higher accuracy. The original Halo pistol will be available in Halo: Reach through special classic playlists in multiplayer.
The Halo: Reach title update will introduce other changes to multiplayer to improve balance. The armour lock ability will absorb an amount of damage based on the player's energy, active camo's duration will be shortened and only swords will be able to deflect sword attacks.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary, Microsoft will also release Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary this November and feature a cameo from the Halo 4 warthog in Forza 4.
The Halo: Reach title update is scheduled to go live in October.
