Senior producer Drew Quakenbush said that the directors have been checking on the title's progress every few months and understand how games are made.
"We've been really lucky. Spielberg and Jackson are avid gamers, not just creative filmmakers," he told Digital Spy.
"They've been really interested in what we've been building, what we've been making. We've seen them about every three months for the last two years. Showing our progress, gameplay, concept art.
"They understand gameplay, they understand how games are made, so we're able to show them early work and get some quality feedback."
The Adventures of Tintin: The Game follows the same story of the movie, and features 2.5D platforming sections with fighting and puzzle elements, as well as a separate co-operative campaign.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Game will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii later this year.
