The classic 8 to 16-player map will receive a number of updates to match Anniversary's HD visuals. The map has been renamed 'Breakneck' for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
'Breakneck' will join all of the original multiplayer maps from Halo: Combat Evolved and new maps such as 'Timberland' and 'Installation 04'.
Microsoft also announced that the Halo: Reach title update will launch on November 15 alongside Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. The title update will bring back the original Halo's powerful pistol in a new classic matchmaking playlist.
The title update will also address many balancing fixes asked for by fans, including balancing of the armor abilities Armor Lock and Active Camo. These balance fixes will arrive first in specific beta playlists beginning October 4, before arriving in all playlists in the November 15 update.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be available on November 15 in North America and November 18 in Europe for Xbox 360.
