'Gears of War 3' story won't please everyone, says writer

Karen Traviss said that while there is a "definite end to the story", certain threads will remain unanswered.
"You're never going to please everybody. You're always going to have the people that want to do a fact sheet on Wikipedia with everything answered," she told Eurogamer.
"You're never going to get that. I come from a background where a series with things left unanswered is part of the joy of it. They may never be answered, I don't know.
"But you can't tie up everything. There are some things that we know but the characters don't know yet - and may never know."
She added: "I hope at the end of it people will sit back and say, now I understand it and it wasn't all black and white. There's some really mucky stuff in there."
Gears of War 3 sees the end of Marcus Fenix's story as he fights an invading Locust force that emerges from inside the planet.
Epic Games boss Mike Capps said that Gears of War 3 is not a finished project, with more content to come with four map packs.
New campaign content will also be available after release, although it will not feature series protagonists Marcus, Dom or Cole.
Gears of War 3 is available exclusively on Xbox 360.
