'Diablo III' feels even better with a controller, says Blizzard

Speaking with PC Gamer, Wilson revealed that Blizzard is testing Diablo III with a console controller and is very pleased with the results.
"One of the reasons why we're exploring the idea of a console version of Diablo III is because we feel that the controls and the style of the game lend itself to a console," Wilson explained.
"With some of our early experiments in putting a direct control scheme into the game via a 360-like analogue controller, I've been, 'Oh this feels even better, with direct control.'"
However, this does not mean that Diablo III on PC will include controller support at launch.
"I can pretty much guarantee that if we decide to do a console version that we will look to support a pad on the PC," Wilson added. "But initially with release I don't think we'll be ready."
A console port of Diablo III has been rumoured to be under development, with Blizzard saying at Gamescom 2011 it is "very, very serious" about a console version.
Blizzard recently launched a closed beta for Diablo III.
Diablo III has yet to be given a release date on PC and Mac.
