'Gears of War 3', 'F1 2011' top of all-formats chart

Gears of War 3 topped the all-formats chart in its opening week of sale.

The Xbox 360 exclusive becomes the week's top seller following a mid-week launch that saw midnight openings across the country.

It was followed by fellow new entry F1 2011 in second and last week's number one Dead Island in third.

Elsewhere, both Warhammer: 40,000 and Resistance 3 slip five places each, while Rugby World Cup 2011 clings onto a chart spot in tenth position.
