GAME's Oxford Street branch hosted the official UK launch event, which saw around 200 people line up to purchase the game at midnight.
Ali Tarighi of North Acton queued from Wednesday morning to be the first person to pick up a copy of the game, alongside a brand new LG 3D LED Monitor TV.
The London launch was joined by 400 midnight openings at GAME and Gamestation stores across the country.
FIFA 12's launch will continue later today with a signing event by Arsenal's Jack Wilshere at the Oxford Street branch.
The football title was released in North America earlier this week.
