The company has said that despite the huge scale of the Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel, it still intends to keep producing games for the franchise.
"I mean I think as long as we're still enjoying it and as long as we feel we can contribute to the Batman universe, [we will continue]," Rocksteady's Dax Ginn told CVG. "That's how it feels.
"There's some amazing stuff going on with Batman all around the world at the moment and we feel as though we're making our own little contribution in the form of the Arkham-verse.
"So as long as we've got stories to tell," he concluded. "So long as we feel we can do that and do that really well."
Batman: Arkham City will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 18 in North America and October 21 in Europe. The PC version will launch in November.
