Five Battlefield 3 maps have been unveiled by DICE.
The five maps - out of a total of nine that will feature in the game - focus on a variety of gameplay styles, from vehicular warfare on large arenas to dense cities.
Grand Bazaar is a close quarters map in the city streets of Tehran. The map is mirrored to give each side similar paths and high vantage points.
Caspian Border, which was unveiled at Gamescom 2011, focuses on vehicular combat, featuring jets and nearly every vehicle in the game.
Seine Crossing has both large roads for vehicles and small alleyways for infantry as they fight through Paris. It has both outdoor battlefields and large indoor environments, forcing players to change tactics.
Noshahr Canals is an industrial harbour featuring infantry and vehicles on both land and sea. When playing Rush, the attacking team begins on a carrier and must reach the shore by amphibious vehicles.
Finally, Kharg Island focuses on vehicles, with long distances between flags. As a coastal map, boats will play a large part as attackers assault the beachhead.
Four maps were previously revealed - Operation Firestorm, Tehran Highway, Damavand Peak and Operation Metro.
Battlefield 3 will launch on October 25 in North America and October 28 in Europe, two weeks prior to Modern Warfare 3's November 8 worldwide release.
