The app will provide users a top-down map of each multiplayer level in real-time. Players will be able to use the app to track teammate movements while they play.
The Halo Waypoint ATLAS will be compatible with both Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo: Reach when it is available later this year.
Players will also be able to issue custom challenges to their friends through Halo Waypoint. For example, a player could challenge a friend to achieve 50 multiplayer headshots in 24 hours.
Custom challenges can be issued for both Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo: Reach, and will reward players with credits that can be spent in Halo: Reach's progression system.
Microsoft recently revealed that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will feature Kinect support for voice commands.
The full Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary achievement list leaked earlier today.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be available on November 15 in North America and November 18 in Europe for Xbox 360.
