'Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim' PC requirements announced

Bethesda has announced the PC requirements to play Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The game will require a minimum of 2GB of RAM, a DirectX 9 compliant video card and a dual core processor.

However, for best results users should have a DirectX 9 video card with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of system RAM and a quad-core processor.

The full system requirements are as follows:

Minimum Specs:
  • Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
  • Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
  • 2GB System RAM
  • 6GB free HDD Space
  • Direct X 9 compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
  • DirectX compatible sound card
  • Internet access for Steam activation
Recommended Specs:
  • Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
  • 4GB System RAM
  • 6GB free HDD space
  • DirectX 9 compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher).
  • DirectX compatible sound card
  • Internet access for Steam activation
The voice cast for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was revealed earlier this month, and features Christopher Plummer, Lynda Carter and more.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC from November 11 worldwide, with downloadable content releasing as a timed-exclusive on 360.
