Playdead's next game 'crazier than Limbo'

Developer Playdead Studios has revealed the first hints of its next game.

The untitled game, tentatively called Project Two, will be the second game from the Limbo developer.

"The next project is more crazy than Limbo, if you say that's crazy," Playdead's Dino Patti told Eurogamer. "It's more weird in many ways."

Patti added: "I think it looks crazy good. I'm really proud of it already. I know the art is not fully there yet, but for me it's the perfect project two for our company, because it's similar in many ways, but so different."

The game is being developed using the Unity 3D game engine, and is said to feature a wider range of colours than the monochrome Limbo.

Patti also confirmed that Playdead Studios is targeting a multiplatform release for its second title.

"We are aiming to go as wide as possible. At this point it's hard to promise, because I don't know what consoles there will be or what deals. It went really well on XBLA. I'm really happy with those guys. But it also went really well on PlayStation," Patti said.

The Unity 3D engine is compatible with Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii, as well as iOS and Android devices.

Playdead Studios has not set a release date for Project Two at this time.
