CEO Yves Guillemot made the announcement earlier today during a conference call with investors, reports Eurogamer.
"There will be another great, full-fledged Assassin's Creed title next year," he said. "It will be another major release and we will be communicating more about it in the coming months."
The announcement comes prior to the release of the series' next instalment Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Revelations is said to be the final chapter in the story of Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood protagonist Ezio.
Ubisoft has also recently announced Assassin's Creed: Recollection, a real-time board game for the iPad.
Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 15 worldwide.
