The Elite service has suffered from limited functionality since it launched earlier this week. Activision cites higher than expected demand as the cause of the problems.
As an apology for the intermittent service, Activision is offering a month's extension to all Elite subscribers with Founder status.
Founder status eligibility will also be extended to all premium members who subscribe before the end of November.
In a statement released by Activision about the Call of Duty: Elite downtime, the firm reassured fans that all multiplayer match data for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops will still be recorded to their Elite account despite the service downtime.
