Army of Four is in development at Electronic Arts, according to a report.

The third game in the Army of Two series will feature four-player co-operative play, a source told Kotaku.

It will use the Frostbite 2 engine, recently used in Battlefield 3 and Need for Speed: The Run.

Developer EA Montreal is currently working on the title. Since development is currently "not going well", the source said that workers from DICE will help finish the game.

Army of Two was a co-operative third-person shooter released in 2008, and was followed by Army of Two: The 40th Day in 2010.
