'Dead Rising 3' hints at tropical setting, Frank West returns

Capcom has updated the official Dead Rising Facebook page with a message that hints at a possible Dead Rising 3.

The message indicates that the game will feature protagonist Frank West and take place in a new tropical setting.

"I'm getting packing for my new adventure - camera, notebook and baseball bat. What else would I need for a break in paradise? - Frank," a post on the page reads.

Frank West starred in the original Dead Rising and returned by popular demand in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record earlier this year.

The paradise setting sounds similar to this year's zombie game Dead Island, which itself drew inspiration from Capcom's Dead Rising.

Capcom vice-president Christian Svensson revealed earlier this year that the company intends to make more of its titles available for the PC, citing the importance of computers as gaming platforms in countries like Russia, China and Brazil.
