Mass Effect 3 developer Bioware has released a video outlining Shepard's new moves and animations.
The latest episode of Bioware Pulse features combat designer Corey Gaspur and gameplay designer Eric Fagnan showing off the more "dynamic" and "elegant" Commander Shepard.
Shepard will now be able to roll in and out of cover and is able to deal improved and accurate heavy melee damage with the Omniblade.
Enemies will also react more realistically to Shepard's attacks, whether hit from the side, back or front.
Mass Effect 3 will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC from March 6 in the US and March 9 in Europe.
The game will feature the co-operative Galaxy at War multiplayer mode, which will be impacted by the choices made in previous Mass Effect games and will influence the third game's story.
It will also contain a storyline that was cut from Mass Effect 2.
