'Modern Warfare 3' beats 'Avatar' as fastest-selling entertainment

According to MCV, Activision's shooter took 16 days to generate $1bn in sales, compared to Avatar's 17.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was described as the "biggest entertainment launch ever", selling 6.5 million copies during its first 24 hours in North America and the UK alone.
Activision's online subscription service Call of Duty: Elite has since attracted one million subscribers.
The game is said to boast more than 30m players, which is more than the populations of New York, London, Tokyo, Paris and Madrid combined.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 8.
