Final Fantasy XIII-2 has been given a new trailer.
The four-minute video, titled 'A Guided Tour', provides a closer look at the game's many new mechanics and advances over 2010's Final Fantasy XIII.
As well as an improved sense of exploration, an expanded battle system allows players to complete over 150 monsters to fight in battle.
Combat will still retain the paradigm shift system in Final Fantasy XIII, allowing characters to swap classes during battle for new skills and tactics.
Set several years after Final Fantasy XIII, the direct sequel sees Serah and newcomer Noah travel through time to track down Lightning after she mysteriously disappears.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on January 31, 2012 and across Europe on February 3, 2012.
