'Syndicate' agent tech shown in new trailer

Syndicate has been given a new trailer highlighting the technology agents can use in the game.

Agents in the game are equipped with a DART6 chip, which can be upgraded to access a number of useful combat and support technology. One ability is the DART overlay, which can allow players to see highlighted enemy positions, slow time and deal increased damage.

Other abilities can infect an enemy's DART6 chip, causing them to turn on each other, commit suicide or cause their weapons to malfunction. Using abilities drains an agent's adrenaline, which can only be restored by defeating enemies.

Co-operative missions will enable players to customize their agent by creating loadouts from available abilities. These missions will also offer unique abilities, such as healing team members.

Announced in September, the game will be developed by Starbreeze Studios and will feature a full single-player campaign in addition to the reimagined co-operative missions based on the original 1993 Syndicate game.

Syndicate will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on February 21 in North America and February 24 across Europe.
