The 60beat GamePad has a design similar to a PlayStation 3 controller, with two analogue sticks, a direction pad, four face buttons and four shoulder buttons.
It connects to any iOS device through the headphone jack via a cord. No batteries are required, as the controller draws power from the iOS device.
Currently only two games support the 60beat GamePad, Bugdom 2 and Aftermath. Hardware producer 60beat states that more compatible games will be added in February.
Similar controllers have begun releasing for Android tablets, including a GameStop tablet and controller.
The 60beat GamePad is compatible with all iPads, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and the fourth generation iPod Touch. It is currently available in North America for $49.99.
