In the press release announcing record-breaking sales for Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7, Nintendo revealed the 3DS debut for two more of its key franchises.
No further information is available for either title at this time.
In December Nintendo announced Pokémon Plus Nobunaga's Ambition for the Nintendo DS in Japan; however it is unlikely that game will be localised outside of Japan or converted in other territories, indicating that Nintendo is referring to a brand new Pokemon title.
Mario Party 9 will be released on the Wii as part of Nintendo's early 2012 release schedule, but this is the first announcement for a 3DS game in the series.
In addition to sales records for Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7, the Nintendo 3DS has sold more than 4 million units so far in the US, selling more in its first nine months than the Wii did.
