Originally scheduled to launch in January on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, retailer Amazon has issued a letter to pre-order customers informing them that the release date has changed to March 6.
Konami confirmed the delay but would not comment on a specific date, telling Joystiq, "The game will now be released in March. We will be sending out definitive dates on all three Silent Hill games later this week."
The other two Silent Hill games referred to by Konami are Silent Hill: Downpour and Silent Hill: Book of Memories.
Silent Hill: Downpour received a similar delay last year, with retailers currently listing it for March as well. Silent Hill: Book of Memories is a multiplayer spinoff in development for PlayStation Vita that was first announced at E3 2011.
Silent Hill HD Collection will include remastered versions of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. It will feature HD visuals, achievements/trophies and brand new voice acting. Silent Hill 2 will also have the option for the original voice cast due to fan demand.
