Activision has revealed that nine months of DLC are planned for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Between January and September, a total of 20 content updates are scheduled, including new maps, game modes and special ops missions.

On January 24, two new multiplayer maps will be available to Call of Duty: Elite premium subscribers, Liberation and Piazza. A third unannounced piece of content will launch in February followed by two more in March.

In March, the DLC will become available to non-premium Call of Duty: Elite subscribers, who can purchase the content individually for an undetermined price.

Each piece of DLC will first launch on Xbox Live, with availability on PlayStation 3 and PC following at a later time.

Call of Duty: Elite got off to a rocky start last year, but is now fully functioning. A mobile Call of Duty: Elite app for iOS launched today, with an Android version planned for next week.
