Resident Evil 6 could be revealed this week, according to a viral promotion.

Website No Hope Left features multiple biohazard logos, which is the name of the Resident Evil series in Japan.

A video on the site features a terrified woman speaking in Mandarin, which coincides with recent rumours that the game will be set in China.

The video and website reference January 19, the day before a Capcom press conference for the franchise's 15th anniversary this week, suggesting that an announcement is imminent.

Users of NeoGAF have linked it to the creator of the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City website.

It also repeats the date throughout.

Resident Evil 6 viral

Capcom first discussed Resident Evil 6 in early 2009, saying that it would "reinvent the series" to keep it fresh.

The publisher has said that Resident Evil 6 will focus more on horror following two action-driven iterations.

It was also recently rumoured for a Tokyo Game Show reveal, but failed to come to light.
