The game was pulled in 2010 due to expired rights.
The first-person shooter was originally released on PC in 1993. It was published on Xbox Live by Activision in 2006, and has since seen rights holder id Software bought by Zenimax.
Zenimax announced today that Doom has returned to the Xbox Live marketplace.
Developer id Software's latest game, RAGE released last year on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Doom is available to download on Xbox Live for 400 MS points (£3.40 / $5).
