The Call of Duty developer posted a job listing looking for a senior animator to work with the potential next wave of console and PC hardware.
"Infinity Ward, developer of numerous award winning games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, is seeking a Senior Animator, preferably with experience in game development and an interest in working with next-generation technologies," read the listing.
With Treyarch developing this year's Call of Duty release, it is possible that Infinity Ward could be developing a game for new consoles as soon as late 2013.
Earlier this week, Rockstar Games featured the term "next-gen consoles" in one of its own job listings.
