Players will control Randall Wayne, a survivor in a post-apocalyptic world as he journeys across the American West coast.
Billed as a puzzle platformer, players use Randall's agility and survival skills to evade dangers from both obstacles and other survivors along the way.
It will be the debut title from Madrid-based independent studio Tequila Works. Though the studio is new, it boasts developers who have worked on games such as Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Diablo III, Heavy Rain and the Motorstorm series.
Deadlight is scheduled to release in summer 2012 on Xbox Live Arcade.
