Darksiders 2 has received a new trailer from THQ.
The trailer details the history of Death, one of the horsemen of the apocalypse and the game's protagonist.
The story of Darksiders 2 will run parallel to that of the first Darksiders game. Players will take on the role of the horseman of Death as he travels through the Abyss to redeem his brother War and undo the apocalypse.
The game promises more combat options than its predecessor, as Death can dual wield weapons or carry a single heavy weapon.
The world is also said to be much larger, with challenging dungeons and more characters for a richer story.
Darksiders 2 is scheduled to release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in June 2012. A Wii U version is also in development for later release.
