'Hitman: Absolution' prequel novel announced

Square Enix and Random House have announced a prequel novel based on the Hitman games.
The novel is titled Hitman: Damnation and will cover the events that take place between the game Hitman: Blood Money and the upcoming Hitman: Absolution.
It is being written by former James Bond author Raymond Benson, who also wrote last year's Homefront tie-in novel.
Hitman: Damnation will be released by Del Rey Books, a division of Random House which has published novelisations of Halo and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series.
A series of Batman Begins tie-in novels were also published by Del Rey.
Hitman: Damnation will release in North America during Summer 2012. with worldwide release dates yet to be announced.
Hitman: Absolution will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC later this year.
