Users on the Call of Duty forums discovered that they were unable to access the game's downloadable content from other profiles on their consoles.
Users have only been able to access the downloadable content from the profile associated with their Call of Duty: Elite subscription.
This appears to go against the downloadable content's terms and conditions, which state, "You can use this item on the first Xbox 360 console you downloaded it to. Access to this item will also be granted to all users on this first console."
This week the first two maps - Liberation and Piazza - were released for Call of Duty Elite Xbox 360 subscribers. They will be made available on PlayStation 3 and PC at a later date.
Activision recently revealed the downloadable content schedule for the next nine months of Modern Warfare 3.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was released in November and has broken Avatar's record as the fastest-selling piece of entertainment, but failed to topple Adele as the UK's best-selling entertainment property in 2011.
