The company confirmed to Shacknews that PlayStation Vita titles bought over the PlayStation Network will cost less than their retail counterparts.
"I can confirm that there will be a discount on the downloadable PS Vita titles from PSN," said a US Sony representative. "Exact details have not yet been revealed, but be on the lookout for an announcement in the very near future."
While Sony has not disclosed details, users from online forum Neogaf posted a database from retailer Best Buy showing digital game vouchers priced ten percent less than a boxed copy of the same game.
PlayStation Vita launched in Japan last December, with strong initial sales of 325,000 in its first week. Sales have dropped, however, with the PSP outselling Sony's newer handheld.
PlayStation Vita will arrive in North America and Europe on February 22.
