5th Cell's Xbox Live Arcade shooter Hybrid will release this summer.
The announcement was accompanied by a new gameplay trailer.
Hybrid is a third-person shooter where players join one of two warring factions in a combination of cover-based aerial combat using a jet pack.
It will also feature a persistent world war through online multiplayer, where individual matches contribute to each faction's success.
The game was announced in 2010, but was pushed back to a 2012 release. In that time the art style and gameplay have undergone significant changes, from a gritty post-apocalyptic setting to the newly revealed sleek futuristic look.
5th Cell's creative director Jeremiah Slaczka explained last year that although Hybrid was "very well received" at the 2011 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, the delay would give the company time to refine the title.
5th Cell is best known for its Scribblenauts series, which most recently released on iOS with Scribblenauts Remix.
