PlayStation Vita update 1.6 will add video recording features and a satellite map app.
The latest system update will be available to download on February 8, and adds video recording to the system's photo app, and a map application similar to Google Maps.

The PlayStation Vita's map app will be available from the Home screen and can be viewed with satellite imagery turned on or off, reports Andriasang.
The app also allows users to search for walking and driving directions, and view details about their current location.
The Home button, meanwhile, will now flash blue when the system is on charge.
Sony will also release a Mac OS version of its Content Management Assistant for PlayStation, allowing Mac users to transfer data between their Vita and computer.
The update coincides with the rebranding of Sony's PlayStation Network to Sony Entertainment Network.
Sony recently said that PlayStation Vita sales were off to a "good start", despite recently falling behind the PSP in Japan.
Sony's latest handheld will launch in Europe and North America on February 22, 2012.
