The video features three of the game's developers discussing how the Xbox Live Arcade sequel came about, mixed with new gameplay footage.
The developers compare the original Alan Wake to Stephen King, with Alan Wake's American Nightmare more similar to Quentin Tarantino.
The game will feature a full story mode as well as the arcade-style 'Fight Till Dawn' survival mode.
The original Alan Wake has been announced for release on PC on February 16.
Alan Wake's American Nightmare will release on Xbox Live Arcade on February 22 for 1200 MS Points (£10.20 / $15) as part of the Xbox Live House Party promotion.
