Posted on the Gamasutra job board, Rockstar San Diego has listed openings for a gameplay programmer and network programmer specifically for an upcoming open-world title.
The company is seeking gameplay programmers who are "ready for the challenges posed by large-scale open worlds with complex AI and physics". The advertisement also says that "knowledge of animation, camera, AI and physics problems and solutions gain bonus points".
The network programmer's role involves "extensive collaboration with gameplay programmers and designers", according to the advert, with the successful candidate expected to have good communication and teamwork skills.
Rockstar San Diego last worked on the open-world game Red Dead Redemption as well as the Undead Nightmare DLC expansion.
A PC port of Red Dead Redemption has been rumoured, but Rockstar is uncertain that it is a possibility.
Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition released last year on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
