The Amazing Spider-Man video game tie-in will feature a new gameplay mechanic called Web Rush, Beenox has revealed.

Web Rush gives players "real-time navigational and combat choices", according to the game's official Facebook profile.

"Web Rush can be triggered on the fly, at any moment and immediately presents you with a variety of situational choices, letting you pull off Spidey's signature moves like never before," wrote Beenox when quizzed about the gameplay.

Beenox is the team behind 2010 release Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and last year's Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

The upcoming video game tie-in will be an epilogue story, taking place after the events of the movie reboot.

The Amazing Spider-Man video game is expected to launch alongside the film.

Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans will star in the Amazing Spider-Man movie, which is slated for release on July 3, 2012.
