Originally scheduled to release on March 2 in Europe, the game has received a four-week delay and is now set for March 30.
Explaining the delay, Namco Bandai stated: "The development team felt they needed a little bit of extra time to optimise the game."
Last week, Namco Bandai revealed pre-order content and a Day One edition of the game that included several exclusive cars and Namco-themed paint jobs.
The game is a new direction for the series, featuring the signature drift racing combined with fully destructible environments that can lead to new shortcuts and boosts.
Ridge Racer: Unbounded will release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 30.
