'Minecraft' ruled out for PlayStation Vita

Minecraft developer Mojang has ruled out a PlayStation Vita port of the game.
Despite the popularity of Minecraft: Pocket Edition on Sony Xperia Play, Mojang's Daniel Kaplan said that the firm has "no plans" to port the game to Vita, reports Eurogamer.

Mojang's next game Scrolls, meanwhile, is more likely to be released on Sony's new handheld, after Kaplan revealed that it was "definitely coming for touch screens".
However, recently-released PC title Colbat is less likely to be ported to other devices, because "the controls don't fit the touch screen".
Mojang is currently locked in a lawsuit with Bethesda over its upcoming game Scrolls. Bethesda claims that the patent infringes on its Elder Scrolls licence.
The case will hinge on the brand recognition of the Elder Scrolls name, and whether consumers would confuse it with Scrolls.
