Pandora's Tower has been dated in Europe, Nintendo has confirmed.

The action-based role-playing game will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Wii on April 13.

The title sees players control a soldier named Aeron, and follows his attempts to contain a curse which threatens to turn his friend Elena into a demonic beast.

The action takes place across 13 themed environments within the central tower setting, and sees players wield bladed weapons and a magical chain.

Pandora's Tower also features multiple endings based on Aeron's interactions with Elena as the action progresses.

Originally a Japanese exclusive, the game has been at the centre of a campaign against Nintendo of America, dubbed Operation Rainfall. Fans bombarded the company with emails, letters and Facebook messages in an attempt to push for a Western release of the Wii exclusive.

The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles were also part of the campaign, with the latter confirmed for a North American release in April.

Xenoblade Chronicles was released in Europe last August.
